Anna Slavkova
Anna graduated in 1998 with a profile “drawing and ceramics” from Fine and Applied Arts school. In 1999-2000 she attended two consecutive specialized courses in painted animation and puppet animation at Boyana Film Studio in Sofia. Anna studied in Animation Directing from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia in the class of Donyo Donev. Anna was assistant-cartoonist in print media – Republic newspaper (2001). She has worked as animator and painter on several successful films. GOAT (2009) is her debut as animation director. Her next movie GOVINDA (2010) awaits its participation in this year’s animation festivals. Anna is currently working as animator on several films.
And now I would like to share the really serious stuff about me and my so-called life. I have been diagnosed with incurable sense of humor and I laugh all the time – this is how I attract the loved ones and not-so-loved ones around me…The cats can not stand me but I love them. And I love coffee…Irish coffee to be precise! I hate umbrellas because they obstruct the view of me!...I paint…while working…in order to find an excuse not to work! I have everything…and I have nothing…;)
